The 2022 awards season has begun with a total of eight accolades bestowed on our extensive range of spirits brands by the globally recognised International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Spirits from our KEEPR’s, Two Birds, Dodd’s and English Heritage ranges underwent a rigorous blind tasting process, judged by more than 400 global experts from around 30 countries in what is the longest running wine and spirits contest in the world, now in its 53rd year.
Two Birds Rhubarb Gin was singled out for a gold award in recognition of its ‘exceptional balance and rare and complex flavours’ and that it stood out against other competitors. Judges described it as having a good balance of sweetness with a ‘lingering rhubarb compote flavour in the mouth’. Meanwhile Two Birds Sloe Gin took home silver for being an ‘accomplished spirit’ with ‘good balance, strong character and good complexity’.
The remaining six winners received bronze awards for being ‘perfectly well-made’ spirits for ‘an enjoyable drinking experience’, with the roll call of honours going to:
KEEPR’s Classic Honey Infused Gin
KEEPR’s Honey Infused Rum
Two Birds Watermelon Gin
Two Birds London Dry Gin
Dodd’s Organic Dry Gin
English Heritage Organic Dry Gin
British Honey Company Commercial Director, Stuart Fritz, said: “We are thrilled to start the 2022 awards season with such an impressive haul of accolades.
“It is not the first time KEEPR’s, Two Birds or Dodd’s have won awards at the IWSC, but it is the first time since these brands came together as part of the British Honey Company. Our commitment to quality and innovation has been strengthened by our expansion and these awards are a testament to our customers that they can rely on the premium drinking experience that our spirits bring.”
This month Dodd’s Organic Gin also picked up a silver and two bronze accolades in the 2022 Bartender Brand Awards for its taste, value and design.
