Summer-tasting Two Birds Watermelon Gin and the recently revamped KEEPR’s Honey Infused Spiced Rum have taken home gold at The Spirits Business Spring Blind Tasting Awards.
Silver medals were also bestowed on several of our brands including Dodd's Explorer’s Citrus & Spice Organic Gin, Two Birds Strawberry & Vanilla Gin and Rhubarb Gin, and English Heritage Organic Dry Gin.
Spirits entered in The Spirits Business Blind Tasting are assessed by industry experts including leading mixologists in what is a tough competition.
This is the second time in the past month Two Birds Watermelon Gin and Rhubarb Gin, KEEPR’s Honey Infused Spiced Rum and English Heritage Organic Dry Gin have received awards. Two Birds Rhubarb Gin achieved top spot at the IWSC in March with the others securing bronze accolades.
Stuart Fritz, Commercial Director at British Honey Company, said: “This is a great follow-on from our recent success at the IWSC. Two Birds Watermelon Gin is one of our most popular spirits and despite it being a summery flavour our customers love to drink it all year round.
“We were also particularly pleased to see KEEPR’s rum win gold after we changed its recipe to coincide with our bottle upgrade to a design that is more synonymous with our heritage. The rum category is one to watch and we think our honey infused offering is something a little different that appeals to both men and women, as well as it being a great base for cocktails.”
