Christmas Sour Cocktail

Christmas Sour Cocktail

A festive twist on the age-old vodka sour cocktail made with Two Birds Christmas Spiced Vodka

 Ingredients

Method

50ml Two Birds Christmas Spiced Vodka

35ml Lemon juice

12ml Sugar syrup (see recipe below)

2 Dashes Angostura bitters

½ Fresh egg white

Ice

Lemon zest

Dried orange and a sprinkle of cinnamon to garnish
  • Shake all of the ingredients (except for the lemon zest) hard with ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
  • Squeeze the lemon zest, shiny side down over the drink so the scented oils spray across the surface.
  • Discard the zest, add the garnish and serve.

Sugar Syrup

In a small saucepan bring 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to boil and then simmer for 3 minutes until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and cool completely. Keep in the fridge in a glass jar for 7 days or freeze.
