Julian is from Vaud, Switzerland, a canton just fifteen minutes away from Geneva. He was lucky to grow up next to a famous UNESCO World Heritage wine region called the Lavaux. In 2017, he decided to leave this beautiful region to pursue a degree in Management & Entrepreneurship at one of UK’s Top 10 universities, Lancaster University. In his penultimate year, Julian joined a still young British Honey Company over summer to discover the world of business start-ups. During his time here, Julian built a database of UK distilleries for our market research and listed more than 466 distilleries on it.
In his final year of university, in march 2020 just as the UK went under lockdown due to the coronavirus, Julian decided to change his dissertation topic to tackle the impact that the virus was going to have on UK businesses. His dissertation, titled “Crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic", took the British Honey Company as a case study and provided recommendations that the company later adopted.
Julian has since graduated with an upper-second class honours and has left his wine upbringing only to join the world of spirits in his adulthood. Julian has since joined the company in June 2020 as a business analyst. He brings with him several years’ experience working for companies such as Atos and Procter & Gamble, but also consulting experience with clients like Lancaster University and Ferrero.
